Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alums Michael R. Jackson (Cycle 14) & Anna K. Jacobs (Cycle 17) present their new musical musical TEETH at NYC's prestigious Off-Broadway theater Playwrights Horizons.
The musical, with book & lyrics by Pulitzer Prize and Tony-winner Jackson (A Strange Loop) and book & music by Jacobs, is an adaptation of the cult classic film of the same name and follows Dawn O’Keefe, an evangelical Christian teen with a powerful secret not even she understands. When men violate her, her body bites back. Literally. TEETH is a fierce, rapturous, and savagely entertaining new musical crackling with irrepressible desire and ancient rage – a dark comedy conjuring the legend of one girl whose sexual curse is also her salvation.
TEETH began performances on February 21st and has just been extended through April 14th due to sold-out performances.
