Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alums Jacob Yandura and Rebekah Melocik (both Cycle 20) will receive the premiere of their new musical HOW TO DANCE IN OHIO at Syracuse Stage.
The show, directed by Sammi Cannold will run September 21-October 9 at the New York theatre.
With music by Yandura and book and lyrics by Melocik, HOW TO DANCE IN OHIO is based on the documentary of the same name. The cast will include autistic actors in the seven principal roles. The musical is dedicated in loving memory to the late Harold Prince, who was reportedly instrumental in its inception.
