Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum presented the new musical THE DEBUTANTES at Newport NewWorks Festival August 14 and 15, 2026.
With book and lyrics by Sam Norman and music by Eliza Randall (both Cycle 30), THE DEBUTANTES tells the story of the female codebreakers at Bletchley Park during WWII. Newport NewWorks Festival offers a developmental environment, providing selected works with professional directors, dramaturgs, musical directors, musicians, and actors to help creative teams refine their musicals.
