Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum presented the new musical SPANDEX at AsylumNYC September 17-27, 2026.
SPANDEX, cowritten by Daniel F. Levin (Cycle 11) and Julian Blackmore (Cycle 19), follows a has-been gymnast and too-nice housewife in a cutthroat aerobics class headed for a showdown at 1988 Crystal Light National Aerobics Championship, hosted by Alan Thicke. Performers included Cycle 35's Kennen Butler and 80s pop star Tiffany.
