Newport NewWorks presented an industry-only reading of the new musical INK & PAINT, with a book by Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum Marjorie Duffield (Cycle 10), on January 13, 2026.
Described as a "documusical," this show tells the story of the women behind Disney's golden age of animation, and how they fought for the recognition they deserved. INK & PAINT was developed during the first Newport NewWorks Musical Theater Festival in 2025.
