Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum Zonia Tsang (cycle 25) presented a staged reading of the new musical MIDNIGHT AT FORBIDDEN CITY at Medusa Art Studios on December 15, 2025.
MIDNIGHT AT FORBIDDEN CITY, with book, lyrics, and music by Tsang, is an immersive musical inspired by San Francisco's famed nightclub Forbidden City. It celebrates the stories of Asian American entertainers who pushed boundaries, challenged stereotypes, and were trailblazing artists of the 1940s.
