Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum Ty Defoe (Cycle 22) was named as a United States Artists Fellow. United States Artists (USA) awards 50 fellows every year with $50,000 unrestricted grants.
Both writer and interdisciplinary artist, Defoe is a Grammy Award winner and a past recipient of the Jonathan Larson Award and the Helen Merrill Playwriting Award.
