GMTWP Alum Rona Siddiqui (Cycle 21)

GMTWP Alum, Rona Siddiqui (Cycle 21) was joined by Mykal Kilgore (MOTOWN), Kenita Miller (ONCE ON THIS ISLAND), Samia Mounts (WE LIVE IN CAIRO workshop), Jonathan Raviv (THE BAND'S VISIT), Sherz Aletaha (DISASTER!), and Waseem Alzer (WE LIVE IN CAIRO workshop) at The Kennedy Center in a concert featuring her original music, RONA SIDDIQUI: HALFGHAN ON A MISSIONR on November 15 at 6 PM.

The performance was featured as part of the Kennedy Center's free daily performance series in collaboration with the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers.

The concert was music directed by Rona, co-directed by Rona Siddiqui and Andrew Garrett, and featured musicians Brian Shankar Adler, Maddie Ballard, Wesley Barnes, Rob Jost, Susan Mandel and Mike Rosengarten.

A Halfghan feminist, Rona brought both her unique pop- and Middle Eastern-infused grooves and her Muppet-esque sense of humor to a myriad of topics-from being a bi-ethnic brown person in America, to raising awareness around mental health issues, to getting out the vote.
