Big Red Sun by GMTWP Alum Georgia Stitt (Cycle 7) and John Jiler
For their 2017-2018 Mainstage Production, 11th Hour Theatre Company presented the World Premiere of Big Red Sun by GMTWP Alum Georgia Stitt (Cycle 7). Stitt wrote the music and words were by collaborator John Jiler. With a score described as weaving Klezmer, jazz and rock and roll, the new musical follows a young man named Harry Daimler on his search for the father he never knew, a Jewish-American musician who died in France during World War II. As Harry uncovers the truth about his father, he begins to realize that in order to know who he truly is, he must first understand where he comes from.
