National Board of Review Awards Honor Grad Film Alumni

The National Board of Review announced the winners for its 2015 awards yesterday. Among the winners were three Grad Film alumni. 

Jonas Carpignano was given the award for Best Directorial Debut for his film Mediterranea, which the NBR also listed as one of the top five foreign language films this year.

Cary Fukunaga's Beasts of No Nation was awarded the NBR Freedom of Expression Award and the Breakthrough Performance award for Abraham Attah's role in the film.

Son of Saul by László Nemes was given the Best Foreign Language Film award.
