Alumnus Ang Lee was awarded the IBC International Honor for Excellence during a ceremony yesterday in Amsterdam. The International Broadcasting Convention gives the award to "a significant and valuable contribution to our industry, combining technology and creativity to achieve remarkable ends," said IBC CEO Michael Crimp.
Lee is known for his award-winning films Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Brokeback Mountain, Life of Pi, and many more. His new film Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk will premiere this fall.
