“ON YOUR RADAR” IS A WEEKLY GRAD FILM NEWS SEGMENT THAT FEATURES A STUDENT PICKED AT RANDOM.

MORGAN IS CURRENTLY A 3RD YEAR STUDENT AT GRAD FILM. WE ASKED THEM A FEW QUESTIONS, AND HERE’S WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY:

Where do you consider home and what is it like there?

I believe home is where the heart is. A large chunk of my heart will always be with my family. One of my fondest memories growing up was sitting around the campfire making s’mores and telling stories. So, gathering with friends and family, regardless of the place, is what home feels like to me. It's even better with good food and drinks.

What is currently inspiring you as a filmmaker?

What’s currently inspiring me as a filmmaker are people who take risks and create works with an eccentric flair. My background is in fine arts, so I was taught under the idea of cultivating your own style and voice. I'm always the one to support the oddities in film and encourage others to do the same.

What has been your most rewarding experience at NYU Tisch Grad Film so far?

My most rewarding experience at NYU Grad Film is from the collaboration opportunities. In March, I was lucky to partake in the Collaboration Class which allowed myself and fellow students to create a film with other students across departments at NYU such as the Graduate Acting Program and the Design Program. It was a wonderful and rewarding experience to work with such talented individuals at the same school.
