A Simple Favor, written by Jessica and directed by Paul Feig, centers around Stephanie (Anna Kendrick), a mommy vlogger who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily’s (Blake Lively) sudden disappearance from their small town. As reported by Deadline, “the pic was a critical and commercial success for Lionsgate, earning more than $97 million at the worldwide box office, achieving Certified Fresh status on Rotten Tomatoes and attracting a strong base that has been hoping for a follow-up after an ending that left things open for a potential sequel.”
