SPENCER IS CURRENTLY A 3RD YEAR STUDENT AT GRAD FILM. WE ASKED HIM A FEW QUESTIONS, AND HERE’S WHAT HE HAD TO SAY:
1. Where do you consider home and what is it like there?
I consider Plainfield, NJ home and it is a beautiful place filled with tough, loyal and resilient people.
2. What is currently inspiring you as a filmmaker?
My inspiration comes from my own experiences as a first generation Nigerian-American in this country and the stories that come along with that experience. Stories that have never been told before.
3. What has been your most rewarding experience at NYU Tisch Grad Film so far?
Most rewarding experience has been the advice and mentoring from professors and classmates who are always available and willing to help.
(Spencer’s 2nd Year Film 730 was just chosen as an official selection to the 2020 Academy Award qualifying Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA.)
