Max Walker-Silverman And Cris Gris

Grad Film thesis student Max Walker-Silverman and alum Cris Gris both were awarded a 2019 National Board of Review Student Grant.  

Walker-Silverman won for his second year short film, "Lefty/Righty," about the death of a family patriarch closing the gap bewteen a divorced cowboy and his young daughter.  

Gris won for her thesis film, "San Miguel," about a devout 9-year-old girl who hopes to allieviate her mother's grief through divine intervention.  

Previous Grad Film winners of the prestigious National Board of Review Student Grant include Tukei Muhumuza, Jean Pesce, Charlotte Wells, Nicholas Colia, Elnura Osmonalieva, Germain Gulick, Kirsten Tan, Raisa Bonnet, and Reinaldo Marcus Green.
