Professor Amy Fox
Grad Film Professor Amy Fox and alum Abbesi Akhamie recently served as a jury members for the City of New York Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment's inaugural Women's Film, TV and Theatre Fund. The initiative, which is "the first gender-focused arts grant bestowed by a major city," awarded 63 female-led projects on Feb. 28 with funding that totaled $1.5 million. Professor Fox worked with other industry experts to select ten finalists for the Fiction Short category, each of whom received up to $25,000.
