Maintenance Services
Most day-to-day maintenance needs of administrative or faculty offices can be handled most effectively by contacting the NYU Facilities and Construction Management (FCM) Client Services Center.
Work Order requests may be directed to FCM's Client Services Center (Monday-Friday 6am-10pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-8pm, except University holidays).
When reporting a problem you will receive a work order confirmation number from FCM for your reference. You may also contact FCM at contactcsc@nyu.edu or by phone at 212-998-1001.
Examples of items typically covered by FCM and your work order request include:
- HVAC heating/ cooling issues
- Bathroom fixture repair
- Light bulb replacement
- Emergency cleaning needs
- Electrical malfunction
Some requests may be subject to a charge from the facilities shop. You may be asked to provide a chartfield to fund the project. FCM will supply advance cost estimates upon request. Examples include:
- Painting offices or other proprietary space
- Major/minor moves
- Installations (for example: pictures, shelving, bulletin boards, coat hooks)
- Replacement or repair of furniture, fixtures and equipment
- Carpet replacement (other than damage due to structural problem)
- Missing or broken blinds
- Heavy carpentry
- Custodial support beyond basic services that require overtime, including event setup
Facilities Related Emergencies
If the problem is urgent call the FCM Helpdesk immediately at 212-998-1001. Then report the emergency to either Leighton Mitchell or Anisa Romero. This might include situations such as a flooding or a dangerous structural or other environmental issue. Please consider the personal safety of yourself and others around you. If you think there is a hazard, you may wish to contact NYU Campus Safety as well.
