The 66th Obie Awards
Congratulations to Tisch Drama faculty and affiliated partners honored at the 66th Obie Awards, celebrating the 2020-2022 Seasons. The awards, presented by the American Theatre Wing, honor Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway artistry.
Tisch Drama Community Obie honorees include:
David Brimmer (The Classical Studio), Sustained Achievement in Directing for his work on "Wolf Play," at SoHo Rep.
Jeanette Yew (Production & Design Studio), Sustained Achievement in Design for her Lighting Designs on multiple productions, "Cullud Wattah" (The Public), "Oratorio for Living Things" (Ars Nova), "The Nosebleed" (Lincoln Center Theater), "Golden Shield" (MTC), "Snow in Midsummer" (CSC), "Fairycakes" (Greenwich House), and "What You Are Now" (EST).
Heather Christian, who teaches at the Experimental Theatre Wing, received a Special Citation for her work on the musical "Oratorio for Living Things" at Ars Nova.
Productions mounted by the Atlantic Theater Company and Playwrights Horizons, the producing companies of two of Tisch Drama's partner training studios were also honored with Obie Awards.
