Inclusion, Diversity, Belonging, Equity & Accessibility

At Tisch School of the Arts, we are renewing our pledge to diversity, inclusion, and equity.

While we have always strived for a community upheld by these values, recent conversations with a dedicated group of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and school leaders prove that we have a long way to go. We must do more than witness and stand in solidarity. We must commit to honest and difficult conversations about the structures and practices in our school that support and sustain inequities, and collectively work to dismantle racism by aligning our practices and resources to the values we celebrate: equity and racial justice.

Here you will find events, training, and other resources available to the Tisch community, as well as the school’s ongoing commitments to the aforementioned values. We encourage you to use this website to work with us in discovering and dismantling any evidence of bias in our community and to also visit the website for NYU's Office of Global Inclusion, Diversity, and Strategic Innovation.

In the coming weeks and months, we will be updating this page with more information, resources, and calls to action, and we look forward to creating a more equitable and inclusive future at the Tisch School of the Arts.
