Theatrical producing and directorial credits include dozens of premieres of original plays Off Broadway and in  Los Angeles. Companies and venues include New York’s: Ensemble Studio Theatre, Irish Arts Center, The Women's Project, New Dramatists, Director's Company, SoHo Rep, West Bank Laurie Beechman Theatre, and Atlantic Theatre Company. On the west coast: Bumbershoot Festival (Seattle), HBO’s Comedy Festival (Aspen), Naked Angels, Ensemble Studio Theatre, The Fountain Theatre and ACT ONE (Showtime & Paramount Television) at The MET theatre all in LA. Writers include original productions by: Paul Weitz, Larry Kirwan, Bill Bozzone, Cassandra Medley Arthur Miller, David Mamet, John Patrick Shanley, Suzan-Lori Parks, Shel Silverstein, Joyce Carol Oates, David Ives, Horton Foote, Michael John LaChiusa, Jose Rivera,  Kenneth Lonergan, Bryan Goluboff, Wil Calhoun, Jason Katims, Carol Reale, Rick Cleveland,  Neil Cuthbert and Michael Patrick King. Kate also produced several benefit performances for The National Coalition Against Censorship, most notably an event at The United Nations and a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Kate also worked as an associate casting director, casting director and acting coach for television, theatre and independent film. 

Kate at NYU Tisch’s Departments: Open Arts, Collaborative Arts, and Drama’s Stonestreet Studios. With Stonestreet Studios, she wrote and directed several short films including: Stepsisters, Fireline, The Gray and Keyed. She also directed students in dozens of Micro-Movies and co-wrote and directed episodes of Madness of Art,  a co-production with Jim Kempner. Kate held the managing director position at Stonestreet Studios from 2014-2016.  

BA in Communications (Film/TV) from Temple University, and later studied at USC and Children’s Hospital LA to become certified as a special education advocate. Kate was a founding board member for Learning Rights Law Center in Los Angeles and worked with Autism and Beyond and in private practice, as an education advocate, aiding parents of children with special needs secure educational rights and services for their children throughout LA County. Kate continues to advocate in New York for access to education for children with special needs.
