Laura Mary Hesse
Academic Advisor, Registration

Laura Hesse was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. She moved to New York to pursue her BFA in Theatre at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, the Classical Studio, and Stonestreet Studios. Upon graduating she worked as an assistant director at the New York Fringe Festival, performed in and collaborated on multiple new works around the city, appeared in MTV's "Guy Code" and other tv spots, and created an alumni group that met to read and explore both classic and new works. Wanting to offer support and connect to people in a more one-on-one context, she spent time volunteering at a suicide crisis hotline. Her desire to explore new aspects in the performing arts field led her back to her NYU roots where she served for a year as an interim advisor and is now the Academic Advisor / Registration Coordinator.
