Jessica Genick
Program Manager, Career Development & Alumni Relations
Jessica Genick develops curriculum and programming to provide Tisch Drama students and alumni with the skills and tools needed to pursue successful careers in the performing arts. She holds a BFA in Musical Theater from Syracuse University and an MA in Drama Therapy from NYU and is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Executive Coaching and Organizational Consulting at NYU SPS. In addition to teaching at NYU, Jessica has provided educational experiences at Fordham University, Syracuse University, Hofstra University, GO Broadway, NYC & Co, and the Broadway League.
Jessica empowers students and alumni to take ownership of their careers by providing resources to explore and develop both performance and non-performance career paths. She facilitates opportunities for students to connect with industry professionals and to build practices that support sustainable careers. Beyond teaching the Internship class and holding weekly office hours for current students and alumni, Jessica creates and leads department-wide and studio-specific career development programming.
A producer of 10 Broadway shows, Jessica previously worked as a professional actor and drama therapist. She is originally from Dallas, Texas, and resides in New York City with her husband and children.
