KATHY IANDOLI is a critically acclaimed, award-winning journalist and author of God Save the Queens: The Essential History of Women in Hip-Hop, Baby Girl: Better Known as Aaliyah, co-author of Eve’s memoir Who’s That Girl? and Gucci Mane’s period memoir Episodes. She has written for numerous publications including Billboard, Paper, Teen Vogue, the Village Voice, Rolling Stone, VIBE, XXL, The Source, and many more. She has previously held top editorial positions at AllHipHop, HipHopDX, BET Digital, and UGHH (UndergroundHipHop.com). Kathy is also a documentarian, producing film projects for the likes of the BBC and Netflix, including the award-winning series Ladies First: A Story of Women In Hip-Hop and serving as Story Editor for VH1's My True Crime Story with Remy Ma. Kathy is a seasoned media coach to the stars, incorporating practices of life coaching and mental health into her sessions, curating her own mental health music journal called Get Your Mind Write: A World Class Wreck-It Journal. A professor of music business and writing at New York University, Kathy routinely serves as a TV and radio pundit for discussions on music and gender. She lives in the New York metropolitan area.
