Tisch Faculty AI Roundtable

“AI is such a potent opportunity for the arts. Our role is to examine how it impacts process, learning and skills - we must generate culture around it, the way artists have always confronted and interrogated huge ideas and human experiences.” - Dean Rubén Polendo

Launched in January 2025, the Tisch Faculty AI Roundtable is a bi-monthly, faculty-led forum focused on complex conversations about intelligences, the production of knowledge, and possible uses and applications of AI in teaching and creative practice.

Through lit review, practice, curriculum and information-sharing, and planning a future event designed by and for the Tisch faculty, the AI Roundtable aims to shape the conversation around AI and the arts.

In January 2026, Dean Polendo charged the Roundtable, tasking it with developing and implementing a range of projects and experiments, and sharing its findings with the Tisch community.

All full-time Tisch faculty are encouraged to participate in the AI Roundtable. If you are a Tisch faculty member interested in learning more or would like to get involved, please fill out this short form.
