Tisch Faculty AI Roundtable
"It’s not about the platform; it’s about how we engage. Can AI serve as a collaborator, research partner, or feedback loop? As an art school within a research university, we’re ready to take on this work." - Dean Rubén Polendo
Launched in January 2025, the Tisch Faculty AI Roundtable is a bi-monthly, faculty-led forum focused on the complex creative, ethical, legal, social, economic and environmental implications of this new technology in the making and studying of art. In the 2026 academic year, the Roundtable is focused on developing faculty capacity with various forms of AI through lit review, practice, curriculum and information-sharing, and planning a future event designed by and for the Tisch faculty.
All full-time Tisch faculty are encouraged to participate in the AI Roundtable. If you are a Tisch faculty member interested in learning more or would like to get involved, please fill out this short form.
