On November 13, 2025, Tisch Creative Research and Catwalk Institute gathered Tisch-affiliated alumni of the Catwalk Artist Residency for an evening of connection and reflection. Over a shared meal, past artists-in-residence connected with each other and discussed their creative practices.
The gathering concluded with Catwalk alumni sharing memories and insights from their residency experiences, followed by heartfelt tributes from Tisch and Catwalk staff honoring Catwalk Institute founder Purcell Palmer and her enduring vision for celebrating and supporting artists.
The Catwalk Institute is a key partner for Tisch Creative Research, providing a self-directed residency opportunity for our community of artists and scholars in upstate New York. The next round of applications for the Catwalk Residency will open in February 2026. Tisch faculty, staff and alumni with advanced degrees in the arts are invited to apply.
