HONORING, ELEVATING, AND RECAPITALIZING UNDERREPRESENTED STORIES
The Tisch Initiative for Creative Research proudly announces the 2024 cohort of HEAR US (Honoring, Elevating, and Recapitalizing Underrepresented Stories) grantees. HEAR US is a mentorship program dedicated to supporting student projects that center marginalized voices and narratives. In academic year 2023-24, HEAR US continues to reflect Tisch’s IDBEA values by providing mentorship and funding to students committed to addressing systemic marginalization in their artistic and scholarly endeavors.
Selected through a rigorous process by a panel of professional artists and scholars, including esteemed Tisch faculty members, the new cohort represents graduate and undergraduate students from various artistic and scholarly disciplines across Tisch departments. Their work promises to catalyze enduring cultural shifts both at Tisch and within their respective professional fields.

We express deep gratitude to all the students who applied for this program and shared their experiences and feedback with us, as well as to the panelists/mentors whose generosity continues to make HEAR US possible.
Please join us in celebrating the 2024 HEAR US cohort!
