Following dire warnings in the recently published Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)’s report, Climate Change 2022: Impacts, Adaptations and Vulnerabilities, NYU Provost Gigi Dopico will moderate a conversation focused on the critical role of storytelling in the communication of climate science, and the importance of achieving Net Carbon Zero goals in the arts and science. Seating is limited, RSVP is required.
At 5pm, the discussion will feature David Holland, Melissa Lott, Miles O'Brien, Al Roker, and Professor Peter Terezakis in conversation about individual and collective actions that could make significant contributions towards a Net Zero future.
At 6pm, Professor Terezakis will host a screening for the Global Climate Change Film Festival. Following the screening, there will be a short award ceremony for the festival winners whose work will be selected by a jury of artists, scientists, and climate activists.
