Climate Change Storytelling: How to Produce a TV Show with a Climate Narrative

“Extrapolations” stars Meryl Streep, Forest Whitaker, Daveed Diggs, Michael Gandolfini, David Schwimmer, and Kit Harington, among others. This television mini-series explores a near future where the chaotic effects of climate change have become embedded into our everyday lives. There will be a conversation with the producers and actors who made the show to learn how to create, produce and sell content that grapples with climate change. We intend to explore how art can generate change.

Following the panel discussion, we will screen the five winners of the Climate Storytelling Short Film Competition. Each filmmaker tells a climate-related story that raises awareness about the most critical issue of our time.
