"Trigger warnings" have become a focal point for discussions of speech, respect, diversity and inclusion on university campuses and in the wider public. This panel will address the usefulness and limitations of trigger warnings especially in teaching environments, and how they have become a flashpoint at this moment in our culture.
This is a Tisch-sponsored, university-wide forum to discuss what constitutes “safe spaces” for education. Allyson Green, Dean of the Tisch School of the Arts, will moderate. Speakers who will begin the discussion:
