Anna Betts, a senior in the NYU Tisch Department of Photography & Imaging, had her thesis project featured in Teen Vogue. Her work, titled "Love & Rage: The New Faces of Climate Activism," is a series of portraits of the young New Yorkers who have devoted themselves to raising hell of the climate crisis. From the article:

"If you did your job, we would be in school.

Around the world, young people are mobilizing to demand greater action on climate change. With the rise of sea levels and social media, young people are becoming more engaged with political issues outside of the arguably restrictive public institutions, providing for new voices to be heard...

...This project focuses on the young climate activists in New York who are becoming the face of the climate crisis movement, as leaders and founders of organizations such as “Fridays for Future”, “XR Youth”(extinction rebellion youth), “The Sunrise Movement” and “Zero Hour”, among many others, as well as being the organizers of the September 2019 Global Climate Strike."

Anna's work will be on view alongside the thesis works of her classmates in Senior Show Two, on view April 2 – May 22, 2020 at 721 Broadway.
