The exhibition features a makeshift library filled with empty white books where visitors are invited to replace the blank books with real ones that will be donated to the libraries of universities in Baghdad, Mosul, Babylon, and the Iraqi National Museum. The exhibition made a Middle East debut with its largest-ever iteration.
Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police (SP) has donated 2,300 books to Iraqi-born, New York-based artist-professor Wafaa Bilal’s exhibition 168:01 at the House of Wisdom (HoW) in support of its goals to restock the lost libraries of Iraqi universities and institutions due to wars.
