It can be challenging to find opportunities to network and share your work while you are in college. Covid restrictions and zoom classes have only made it harder. However, the Dept. of Performance Studies is a place filled with artists, dreamers, and thinkers. We have our interests in writing, art-making, and performing, and more. It will be a pity not to let those creative works of yours shine!
So, we, the B.A. Student Representatives, Ruochen Shen and Cynthia Chen, want to create a space for our B.A. students to showcase class works. Think of it as a gallery space to share your academic work with a new audience outside of the classroom that work was created for. A new way to connect and network at PS! Through this, we also hope to offer curating opportunities for those who love museums and archives! Email rs6422@nyu.edu if you are interested in joining the selecting/curating process.
Please complete the form linked below and submit your classwork from any PS class from Fall 2020 to be featured in the exhibition.
The deadline for submission is March 19, 2021.
The exhibition will "open" the week of April 20th with a special Opening Night Celebration. More details to come on that event!
