Marina Tompkins

I was born in Moscow, Russia, and I was adopted at about 15 months old. I have lived in Boca Raton, FL since then. I have always loved  theater, movies, and TV, but I never really liked reading and writing until 8th grade and had a teacher that really inspired me. Since then, I decided I wanted to write plays. I’m extremely curious and constantly fall down intellectual rabbit holes.

WHY PS @NYU?

PS feels like the best place for me to explore what performance is, how it affects humans, and how I can incorporate that knowledge in my writing. I want to better understand performance’s place around me.
