Capstone Project: Be Where Your Feet Are
Be Where Your Feet Are is a performance piece that blends tap dancing, spoken word poetry, fashion, music, and visual art. It is a celebratory journey through the archive of childhood as a means of embracing the past and embarking on the future.
What inspired your project?
Once Upon a Time, in a world that crumbled, a young man carried tap shoes in his hands. His head in the clouds, but his feet on the ground, stories to tell, but never making a sound. Unsure of a next chapter, mourning the past- He stands before you; Will he hop shuffle fallap?
