Title of Project:

May Her Memory Be Eternal

Project Description:

My project is about memory and trauma, specifically the connection between the encoded bodily memory in sexual trauma survivors and the Greek Orthodox concept of "eternal memory." I use a close analysis of Suzie Miller's one woman show, Prima Facie, focusing on what her cross-examination of her own memory activates in me as the audience member, to reimagine what is understood as proof and how eternal memory remains.

Areas of Academic Interest/Research:

Intersecting Identities, Memory and Trauma, Ritual and Poetry as Performance
