TDR is coming to Cambridge in 2021

TDR is coming to Cambridge in 2021

TDR, edited by Performance Studies Professor Emeritus Richard Schechner, will now be published by Cambridge University Press, beginning with Volume 65, Issue 1. Cambridge will publish four issues per year and content from 2021 onwards will be available on the Cambridge Core platform. With readers and contributors from all over the world, TDR is the preeminent journal of performance studies.

TDR is scholarly, accessible, and dynamic with a global appeal. Each article is tightly focused, but the effect of the whole is of a broad range of topics. TDR is at the cutting edge of performance studies. TDR supports progressive political and social movements and ideas. TDR is inclusive and interdisciplinary. Written by and for scholars and artists—and their students—TDR is where leaders and future leaders of performance studies go for performance texts, performative writing, editorials, reviews, and articles about the performing arts, performance in everyday life, politics, popular entertainment, business, and sports.

Along with the transition, Cambridge is hosting a series of webinars. 'TDR: The Webinars' is a brand new series of online discussions hosted by TDR and Cambridge. Bringing together leading scholars, writers and artists, we debate a broad range of topics from the field of performance studies and beyond - including politics, anthropology, history, business and entertainment.

Webinars will take place on Wednesday March 3rd and March 10th. Additional details can be found using the link below.
