'Hey Siri' by Stachy Saint-Gerard
Performance Studies B.A. Candidate Stachy Saint-Gerard just dropped her latest single 'Hey Siri', streaming everywhere now!
Stachy says of the song and her song writing process, "I wrote 'Hey Siri' over a year ago. I was sitting in my dorm and was feeling overwhelmed with juggling school, music and being an RA at the time. I began examining the world around me and the words to "Hey Siri" came flowing out of me. "Hey Siri" is about acknowledging the fact that it is okay to not be okay. It is okay to be a work in progress. We grow the most when we are put in positions where we are uncomfortable. I'm personally still learning how to embrace the lows and highs that come with evolving as a person and artist. I hope when people listen to 'Hey Siri' they feel connected to the r&b-jazzy vibe of the track."
Stachy is a singer songwriter from Brooklyn, NY. She is currently a Performance Studies Major with a BEMT minor at NYU Tisch. Music has been Stachy's main focus for the last few years. She began taking music a lot more seriously after Sophomore year of high school. In most of her PS classes Stachy tries to involve music into the mix in any way that she can. This summer Stachy plans on releasing her debut EP which is a collection of songs that she wrote during quarantine. "Hey Siri" is the first single from the 5-song project. Stachy am beyond excited to share this project with the world. Listeners can follow Stachy on Instagram @its.stach for future updates!
