PS Alum Andrea Cesar in "Timeless"

Wednesday, Nov 1, 2017

Performance Studies alum Andrea Cesar (M.A. '16) will perform in Ntrinsik Movement's "Timeless" at the Kumble Theater on November 11, 2017.

About the Show

This program, filled with riveting Afro-Modern and Contemporary movement, features choreography that celebrates the ageless beauty of soul music. Soul music is a reflection of the African-American identity and stresses the importance of the African-American culture. These new works, choreographed by the members of Ntrinsik Movement, will emphasize the feeling of being an African American in the United States throughout different time periods such as the 60s and 70s. From gospel and rhythm & blues, to soul,  jazz and funk, this dance concert will revisit all of the classics. Aside from the company, the evening will feature a group of young pre-professional dancers from the New York area who have worked with members of Ntrinsik in various public schools and dance studios.
