Maria Piedad

Maria Piedad is a choreographer and ballet instructor, affiliate teacher of the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum and member of the CID-UNESCO.  She also teaches character, historical, jazz and contemporary dance. Pedagogic and choreographic adviser for Danzas Ballet School, Ecuador; teacher at Ballet Hispanico and Long Island Ballet Theatre schools. She’s worked for ABT (teaching assistant), CUNY (adjunct instructor), ProDanza-Ecuador (artistic director,choreographer,dancer), National Ballet of Ecuador (chief of rehearsals,dancer) where she staged the ballets Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Three Musketeers and Taming of the Shrew. Her choreographies have been performed in Ecuador, El Salvador, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and USA.
