A multidisciplinary artist, Franchignoni holds a Master’s degree in Performance Studies from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she received academic recognition and support for her studies. Her artistic and intellectual practice lies at the intersection of performance, sound, and multimedia arts, working across roles as performer, director, and dramaturg.

She has participated in numerous festivals and performance series, including the  Performance Biennale at Buenos Aires, FIBA (Buenos Aires’ International Festival), the “Agosto Poético” Festival at the Centro Cultural de la Cooperación (Buenos Aires), the Performance Series at Galería Pasaje 17 (Buenos Aires), Performance Studies International Conference (PSI), and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has also received scholarships and recognitions from the Fondo Nacional de las Artes, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Fundación Williams, and the Bienal de Arte Joven, among others. She has collaborated with numerous national and international media outlets and has served on academic committees and juries.

In 2010, she was responsible for the world premiere in Spanish of Freshwater, Virginia Woolf’s only play, and edited the volume Freshwater and Other Short Plays by Woolf, featuring her translations and adaptation of the play, published by Cuenco de Plata.

From 2014 to 2021, she worked as a professor of Performance Studies at the National University of the Arts in Argentina (UNA).

In 2022, she received the Fundación Williams Award to produce the poetic-musical experience The Waves · Las Olas, based on Virginia Woolf’s novel, whose Work in Progress was presented at the Buenos Aires’ Nueva Ópera Festival. In 2024, she premiered Las Olas, una travesía, a site-specific performance based on her ongoing work with Woolf’s novel, at Dune Park, a Digital Arts and Culture Center in Buenos Aires.

She is currently completing her second Master’s degree in Content Management at Universidad Austral, Argentina.
