Faye Oyang

Faye is currently working as a theatre licensing and touring specialist at Broadway Asia Company, LLC . She is born and raised in Taiwan and went to Northwestern University before moving to New York. When she isn't buried in Excel spreadsheets and contracts, Faye sometimes also stage / production manages new theatre works, and aspires to become a part-time gardener.

Areas of concentration/study:

Theatre studies, spectatorship, public art as political discourse

Capstone/Thesis/Dissertation Title:

"Reexamining Spectatorship through Activist Photography"

Why PS @ NYU?

Performance Studies is where I can combine my research interests in political participation through performance and theatre studies, and I am interested to learn more about the broader field of performance outside of traditional theatre, which is primarily what I have been exposed to.
