I Still Remain
Description of Capstone Project
I Still Remain is an exploration of personal agency and freedom through movement. Originally planned as a live evening-length dance show to have taken place on April 10th at the Center for Ballet and the Arts with choreography by several collaborators, it is now shifted to a virtual video project due to COVID-19. With the change of presentation, the purpose continues to be to question and unpack the existence of our agency. Ultimately, perhaps even enhancing it. For even if we acknowledge the absence of ownership and freedom in how we move, if we can enact a feeling of agency, perhaps it’s already ours to hold.

Why PS @ NYU?
I chose Performance Studies because of its interdisciplinary nature. In this department I'm able to focus on performance in my own passions of dance and music, while complementing that with an intellectual and academic education that lets me see how performance affects the culture around me.
