Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alums Jessie Field & James Salem (both Cycle 29) presented a live, semi-staged, full reading with recorded music of their new musical CHARLOTTE LUCAS IS TWENTY-SEVEN & NOT DEAD at Dixon Place in NYC on Friday, October 22nd.

The musical was presented at the All Out Arts 2021-22 Fresh Fruit Festival and is an adaptation of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE that follows the perspective of Charlotte Lucas (a la Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead) who, in the retelling, has her own queer love story underneath the action of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE.

Program alums Eliza Randall (Cycle 30) and Enzo Veiga (Cycle 29) provided musical direction and alum Sam Rosenblatt (Cycle 29) served as the Production Stage Manager.
