Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alums presented new work from their new musicals at Latiné Musical Theatre Labin New York City. The Latiné Musical Theatre Lab revealed the the writing teams for its Fall 2023 Julia de Burgos Cohort, in collaboration with Prospect Theatre Company, New York Theatre Barn, and the Dramatists Guild Fund. Of the writing teams, the Program alums included Miranda Holliday & Justin Cook (both Cycle 31), Nico Raimont (Cycle 32), James Martinez Salem & Jessie Field (both Cycle 29), Maiga Vida (Cycle 34), Janine Robledo (Cycle 22), and Deborah Wicks La Puma & Kathleen Cahill (Cycle 5).
The Lab aims to propel Latiné writers in their journey to further develop their shows, offering invaluable mentorship and support. Over the course of three months, the cohort meets every other week, creating a dynamic space for collaboration, creativity, and growth.
