Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program Alums Amy Burgess (Cycle 17) and Rachel Dean (Cycle 26) presented a concert version of their new musical ON THE LINE. The concert was produced by Rubber City Theatre in Akron, OH and was presented on June 5th, 2021.
ON THE LINE is an adapation of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM by setting it in 1945 in the G.S. Good Rubber Factory in Akron, OH and re-imagines Shakespeare through the lives of LGBTQ+ characters.
Also, Program alums Emily Chiu (Cycle 26) and Lucy O'Brien (Cycle 29) provided orchestrations for the show and recent alum Andrew Strano (Cycle 30) performed.
