Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum Ana Garcia (Cycle 24) presented her new musical BOMBA AND THE COQUÍ at the Piper Theatre Productions 2023 Musicals Now Festival.
Written by Garcia with book & lyrics by Garcia and Lou Rodgers, the family-friendly musical tells the story of a mischievous little girl who discovers a magical frog only to have it stolen by her evil teacher. The play celebrates Puerto Rican culture and pride with an original Latine score, bright and flowing costumes, imaginative staging, and a humorous script by an exciting emerging artist.
