HOW TO MAKE A MESS: AN UNAUTHORIZED LOVE LETTER TO NIGELLA LAWSON, by Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum Emily Rose Simons (Cycle 25), was presented at Upstairs at the Gatehouse Theatre in London from June 4th-8th, 2026.
With book, lyrics, and music by Simon, this musical processes the estrangement of a daughter and her late mother through the spirit of beloved food writer Nigella Lawson.
