Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum Creighton Irons (Cycle 17) will feature a production of his new musical THE MOON AND THE SEA at the Waldron Arts Center in Bloomington, IN in June 2023.
With concept, music & lyrics by Irons and a book by collaborator Douglas Lyons, the show is described as a universal love story:
Erin is the Moon, Charlie is the Sea. When they accidentally reunite, four years since their breakup, one thing is crystal clear: they’re still in love with each other. But Erin’s new fiancé isn’t too far from the reunion, and love can only hide itself for so long. Featuring a gorgeous score by Creighton Irons and a book penned by Douglas Lyons (Broadway’s Chicken & Biscuits), this breathtaking story captures the magic of falling in love… and the pain of letting it go.
