Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum, Ukrainian American composer (RISE, Kaufman Music Center), voiceover actor (A Goofy Movie, Bad Teacher), singer (Junior Eurovision), & writer Ernie Bird (Cycle 29) brings his songs to NYC's famous venue Don't Tell Mama for his New York City solo concert debut! You will hear original songs from The Ukrainian War Diary, and other musicals composed by Bird.

Featuring Elisa Galindez (Head Over Heels), Kirstin Wolf (Wolfbane Productions), Erin McMillen (Grease), comedy legend Rick Crom, and Metropolitan Opera's Zalman Kelber on piano, this heartwarming evening will be dedicated to Ernie Bird's resilient motherland Ukraine, his refugee mother Oksana, and the Ukrainian heroes fighting and volunteering on the front lines.

Bird is a composer, actor & writer, living in NYC, born and raised in Ukraine. His musical RISE, in collaboration with librettist Gabrielle Mirabella, had its Off-Broadway debut at Kaufman Music Center, May 2022. Bird & Mirabella are also currently co-writing the Musical Women’s History Podcast, What Will She Do Next?, featured on Apple Podcasts & the New York Times. After receiving a full scholarship, Ernie attended the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where he received an MFA in Musical Theatre Writing. Currently, he is a composer/lyricist in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.. He’s also a guest composer at Columbia University’s MFA Playwriting. As an actor, international voice-over work includes; A GOOFY MOVIE (Max; Walt Disney Pictures), HERCULES (Walt Disney Pictures), Bad Teacher (Columbia Pictures).
