Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum David Mallamud (Cycle 13) and co-orchestrator Carl Marsh will present their orchestral arrangements of the music of R.E.M. for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in the world premiere of R.E.M EXPLORED on Sept. 30th and Oct. 1st, 2022. The symphonic event will open with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performing selections from R.E.M.’s legendary playlist (newly reimagined for orchestra) and concludes with R.E.M.’s Mike Mills performing his eponymous Concerto for Violin, Rock Band and Orchestra alongside Grammy-nominated violinist Robert McDuffie.
